A Strong Reserve is Growing in Kazakhstan: Luca Bormolini Begins Working with Our Young Biathletes

Italian specialist Luca Bormolini, the former head coach of the Czech Republic women’s national team, has arrived in Shchuchinsk to work with the young reserve of Kazakhstani biathlon. For two weeks, the famous coach will lead a training camp for the leaders of our "Grand Tour Biathlon" project. We organized this collaboration as part of our big focus on developing youth sports and training the next generation of athletes in Kazakhstan.
A Strong Reserve is Growing in Kazakhstan: Luca Bormolini Begins Working with Our Young Biathletes

Luca Bormolini is well-known in the international biathlon community. Under his leadership, the Czech women’s team showed high results on the world stage. Now, the Italian expert is bringing his experience and modern training methods to our country.

"I am very glad to be here in Kazakhstan. The National Winter Sports Center in Shchuchinsk has fantastic infrastructure that fully meets world standards. But the most important thing is the children. I see great potential and a huge desire to work in their eyes. A very strong reserve is growing here and with the right approach, these kids can achieve great success in the future," said Luca Bormolini.

The training camp brought together the top boys and girls who showed the best results during the  "Grand Tour Biathlon"—a project we created to find and develop young talents across the country.

For two weeks, the young athletes will work under the guidance of the Italian specialist. The training program includes:

-Improving shooting techniques and speed under pressure.

-Correcting ski skiing techniques.

-Physical conditioning and modern recovery methods.

Our local Kazakhstani coaches are also participating in the camp. This allows them to learn from their foreign colleague, adopt advanced European methods and apply them in their regional sections in the future.

The training camp in Shchuchinsk is a crucial step in preparing our young athletes for the international level. For the leaders of the Grand Tour, this is a unique chance to get world-class experience right here at home.

For our Union, attracting top foreign experts to work with children is part of our long-term strategy. Our main goal is not just to support the current national team, but to build a strong, continuous system where young regional talents can successfully grow into world-class champions.
