Mariya Korolyova Named "Best Coach of the Year"
Mariya Korolyova from Kostanay has won the "Coach of the Year" award from the Kazakhstan Biathlon Union as part of the "Grand Tour Biathlon" project. To support youth sports and recognize her hard work, the Federation awarded Mariya Korolyova a prize of 500 000 KZT.
Kostanay region continues to strengthen its place on Kazakhstan's sports map. Biathlon only started in the region in 2023, but in a short time, it made great progress. This season, Kostanay successfully hosted a winter stage of the national "Grand Tour Biathlon" series for the first time in its history.
Mariya Korolyova’s young athletes became true stars of the competition.Varvara Dudinabecame a two time champion.Tatyana Umurzakova and Illian Bazelinsky stayed at the top of the overall standings all season and proudly wore the red leader bibs.
