FINAL: ASTANA TO HOST THE CLOSING STAGE OF GRAND TOUR BIATHLON

The Kazakhstan Biathlon Union invites all sports fans to the final stage of the Grand Tour Biathlon project, taking place from August 4 to 6 in Astana Central Park. This is the fifth and final stage of the 2026 season, making it the largest event in the history of the project.

A total of 197 young athletes from all 12 biathlon regions of Kazakhstan will compete in the Astana stage. The 2026 season included five stages: three winter and two summer stages. In addition to the competition, a fan zone will be organized for guests.

On August 6, special guests of the final stage will be Yelena Khrustaleva, silver medalist of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in biathlon and Yerbol Khamitov, Winter Paralympic champion. They will hold an autograph session for young athletes and fans.

Based on the results of the final stage, the Federation will award cash certificates, crystal trophies and yellow leader jerseys to the best regions. The Grand Tour Biathlon races will be broadcast live on the "Qaz Biathlon" YouTube channel.

About the Project

Grand Tour Biathlon is the main project of the Kazakhstan Biathlon Union aimed at developing youth biathlon in the country. The project unites biathlon regions, gives young athletes regular competition experience, and builds a reserve for the national team of Kazakhstan.

Our mission is to create a strong reserve for the national team. We provide young athletes with the best training facilities and international experience, helping them build a championship spirit. Our goal is to train champions who will raise the flag of Kazakhstan at the 2030 and 2034 Olympic Games!
