Kazakhstan Youth and Junior Biathlon Championship starts in Shchuchinsk

On the first day, more than 150 athletes from 8 regions of the country took part in the individual races. Here are the results of the first day:

Junior Men (12.5 km): Danil Chervenko from the Akmola region won the race with a time of 37:59 minutes. Artem Afanasiev finished second (39:10 minutes), and Anton Gurov took third place (40:23 minutes).

Junior Women (10 km): Ulyana Ardalionova won the gold medal with a time of 39:49 minutes. Yana Chupik took second place (40:03 minutes), and Adima Kuanyshbekova finished third (42:14 minutes).

Youth Boys (12.5 km): Vadim Seredenko won first place with a time of 47:17 minutes. Maxim Zinoviev finished second, 28 seconds behind the leader (47:45 minutes). Leonid Zhulin took the bronze medal (48:09 minutes).

Youth Girls (10 km): Evelina Rybalkina from the East Kazakhstan Region won the race in 45:55 minutes. Anastasia Serednyakova finished second (47:02 minutes), and Valeria Mironova took third place (47:04 minutes).

The championship will continue until January 21. On the final day, the biathletes will compete in the mass start races. As a reminder, these races will help coaches choose athletes for future international competitions.
