This winter season, a new format for the Cup and Championship of Kazakhstan was introduced, featuring six stages: four in winter and two in summer. These competitions brought together children from various regions, starting in Ridder and Aksai, continuing in Pavlodar, and finishing in Shchuchinsk at the fourth stage. Over 100 children participated in each city, and winners received trophies and special gifts from the organizers. The Federation has also promised to send the top performers to Norway to experience international competition.

The Norwegian Biathlon Federation has provided four spots for Kazakhstan's young athletes at the festival, allowing two girls and two boys born in 2009 to participate in this vibrant event. They will be accompanied by Maxim Braun, a children's coach from Pavlodar and the winner of a World Cup stage in 2017.

The Liatoppen Biathlon Festival is the largest biathlon event for kids in the world, with over 1,000 participants aged 11 to 16. This year, the festival will take place from April 10 to 15, marking the end of the winter season for biathletes across Norway. The event will include individual races, relays, competitions, shows, and prizes.

The main goal of the Grand Tour Biathlon is to promote and develop the sport in Kazakhstan, especially in areas where new biathlon facilities have opened, including a children's department in Astana.
