Results of the Kazakhstan Biathlon Cup

Today, the first stage of the Kazakhstan Biathlon Cup finished at the National Olympic Training Center in Shchuchinsk. More than 100 athletes from 8 regions of the country took part in the competition from November 25 to 26.

The athletes showed great results on the final day of the competition:

Men (7.5 km). Anton Bashkirov from the Akmola region won the race with a time of 20:40.7 minutes. Alexander Biryukov finished second (21:43.3 minutes) and Vladimir Batryncha took third place (21:43.5 minutes).

Women (6 km): Elizaveta Beletskaya won first place for the second day in a row with a time of 18:19.9 minutes. Nadezhda Pivovarova finished second, 2:53.6 minutes behind the leader (21:13.5 minutes). Ekaterina Langlic took third place with a time of 21:18.8 minutes.

Junior Men (7.5 km): Vladislav Malykov took the gold medal (19:39.9 minutes). Artur Kadantsev finished second (20:08.2 minutes), and Ilyas Khasenov got the bronze medal (20:30.0 minutes).

Junior Women (6 km): Yana Chupik from Almaty won the race in 18:51.0 minutes. Evelina Mezentseva finished second (18:53.8 minutes), and Maria Vorobyeva took third place (18:58.0 minutes).

The second stage of the Kazakhstan Cup will take place in December. After these two stages, coaches will choose the best young biathletes to represent Kazakhstan at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon, South Korea.
