Head Coach Maksat Sharanov Finished 2 nd level of the IBU Academy Course in Norway

The main topics of the course were rifle knowledge, shooting and skiing techniques, physiology, strength and agility. Coaches also studied team building, recovery, injury prevention and training science. Famous experts like Siegfried Mazet, Lars Axel Nygard, Oyvind Sandbakk, Kerry McGawley and others were the lecturers. The program helped coaches improve their technical skills, understand team dynamics and learn the science of effective training and recovery.

Now, our national team head coach, Maksat Sharanov, has new knowledge, skills, and international connections to help develop biathlon in Kazakhstan.

As a reminder, from July 7 to 12, the Olympic Training Center in Shchuchinsk will host the IBU Academy program for coaches for the first time. The coaches from Germany and Norway will teach at the event and 20 young coaches from Kazakhstan will take part in it.
