IBU Junior Cup: Kazakhstan Biathletes Finish in Top 5
The second sprint races of the third stage of the IBU Junior Cup took place in Jakuszyce, Poland. For the second day in a row, the Kazakhstan junior team showed great results and finished among the best athletes.
Junior Men (10 km): Vadim Kurales finished 5th out of 103 athletes (+25.0 seconds; 2 misses). Egor Grebenshchikov also showed a strong performance and took 7th place. Danil Chervenko finished 41st, Artem Afanasiev was 45th, and Ruslan Amurlaev took 53rd place. Lukas Haslinger (Austria) won the race.
Junior Women (7.5 km): Milana Geneva finished 6th out of 87 biathletes. Arina Kryukova took 21st place, Maria Poldyaeva was 41st, Alema Karabaeva finished 49th, and Ksenia Dolgopolova was 73rd. Anna Andexer (Austria) won the gold medal.
As a reminder, the junior national team will next compete at the European Championships, which will take place from February 5 to 11.
