Grand Tour Biathlon: Fourth Stage of Kazakhstan Biathlon Championship for young biathletes Begins in Shchuchinsk

Today, the championship for boys and girls in biathlon started at the Olympic Training Center for Winter Sports in Shchuchinsk. Approximately 160 young athletes from 10 regions across the country are competing.

During the official opening ceremony, the Kazakhstan Biathlon Union congratulated the top performers among children born in 2009, who will represent Kazakhstan at the Liatoppen festival in Norway. They were also presented with new equipment.

On the first day of competition, boys competed in sprint races. The results for the winners and medalists are as follows:

Girls born in 2009-2010:

1. Varvara Nebogatova (East Kazakhstan) - 1st place
2. Albina Khafizova (Akmola region) - 2nd place
3. Angelina Afanasyeva (East Kazakhstan) - 3rd place

Boys born in 2009-2010:

1. Nikita Dudchenko (East Kazakhstan) - 1st place
2. Roman Kolbyshev (Abay region) - 2nd place
3. Ruslan Vetrigov (Akmola region) - 3rd place

Girls born in 2011-2013:

1. Ksenia Krashkevich (Pavlodar region) - 1st place
2. Sofia Zhigulina (Akmola region) - 2nd place
3. Evelina Timofeeva (Pavlodar region) - 3rd place

Boys born in 2011-2013:

1. Aryn Tazhibayev (West Kazakhstan region) - 1st place
2. Ilyan Bazelinskiy (Kostanay) - 2nd place
3. Denis Chirvin (Karaganda) - 3rd place
