Kazakhstan Biathletes Win Gold and Silver at the Asian Games in Harbin
Today, the men's 10 km sprint race took place in Harbin, China. Our Kazakhstani biathletes showed an amazing performance: Vladislav Kireyev won the gold medal, and Vadim Kurales captured the silver!
Vladislav finished the race in 29 minutes and 47.4 seconds, missing only one target in the prone shooting. Vadim missed two targets and finished 25.7 seconds behind Kireyev, with a total time of 30 minutes and 13 seconds.
This is the very first Winter Asian Games for both athletes, and it is Vadim's first season with the adult national team. Earlier, Vladislav became an Asian Champion. Vadim is also highly successful; last year, he became the Champion of the World Winter Universiade and won two medals at the Junior World Cup stages.
On February 13, the relay races will take place at the Asian Games. We believe that our biathletes will stand on the podium once again!
