TOP 20! A Historic Result at the Biathlon World Cup

Our Biathlon Federation is proud to announce a historic achievement for the men's national team. Today, at the IBU World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria, our athlete Vladislav Kireyev set a brilliant national record. For the first time in his career and in the history of the Kazakhstani men's biathlon team, he finished in the Top 20 of the pursuit race.

During the race, Vladislav Kireyev demonstrated exceptional accuracy on the shooting range. He shot clean, hitting all 20 targets (four "zeros"), which secured him a well-deserved 20th place. This result stands as the best-ever achievement for our men's national team in a pursuit race.

"Vladislav Kireyev's result is a milestone event for all of Kazakhstan sports. His shooting and high 20th-place finish prove the effectiveness of our training methods and open a brand-new chapter in the history of our country's biathlon. We congratulate Vladislav and our entire coaching staff on this amazing breakthrough," said our head coach, Maksat Sharanov.

We also want to highlight the performance of Asset Dyussenov, who finished in 37th place. Despite two misses on the final shooting winter, he successfully broke into the Top 40 of the world's strongest biathletes.
