A New Biathlon Record in Kostanay: 12 Regions Join the Grand Tour

From February 12th to 18th, Kostanay hosted the second stage of the Grand Tour Biathlon for the very first time. The event set a new record: 170 young athletes from 12 regions of Kazakhstan participated. This is the largest geography in the project's history!

The competition started with the Sprint races. Here are the top results:

The big moment: Norway trip winners

The most exciting part of the day was announcing the winners of the trip to Norway. For the third year in a row, the Kazakhstan Biathlon Union is sending the best young athletes to the Liatoppen Festival, the world’s largest biathlon event for kids.

The four leaders (born in 2011) traveling to Norway are:
