Grand Tour Biathlon: 180 Athletes Compete in Pavlodar

Pavlodar is becoming a real home for kids biathlon in Kazakhstan. Recently, the city hosted the National Youth Championship as part of the Grand Tour Biathlon. The races took place at the new Zelenaya Roscha base for the very first time.

The scale of the event was impressive with about 180 young athletes traveling from 12 different regions. These represent all the areas in Kazakhstan where biathlon is currently growing. The competition lasted two days: the first day featured sprint races and the second day was dedicated to the individual races. For those who couldn't be there in person, every race was streamed live on the "Qaz Biathlon" YouTube channel, allowing parents and fans across the country to cheer for the kids in real-time.

The Grand Tour Biathlon in Pavlodar was about more than just medals, it was about building a great community. We prepared a special merchandise featuring motivational messages from Kazakhstan Olympians to inspire the young participants. Parents also got to join the fun with a laser rifle shooting contest, where winners took home prizes from the Federation. To keep everyone happy and warm, the Parents Committee organized delicious  snacks for all the children.

Kazakhstan Biathlon Union wants to say a huge thank you to all the organizers, volunteers and parents for their incredible support of youth sports. If you want to see the full results and the latest athlete rankings, you can find them in the "Rankings" section on the official Grand Tour Biathlon website.
