The Trifonov family is a real sports dynasty. Ivan Valeryevich's parents were engaged in cross-country skiing back in Soviet times. Mom - Trifonova Galina Grigorievna - was a member of the USSR junior team in cross-country skiing, and dad - Trifonovich Valery Alexandrovich - a member of the Kazakh SSR team in cross-country skiing. And they still work as cross-country skiing coaches in Ridder.
“And, probably, as soon as I learned to walk, I started skiing. Until the 11th grade, I studied with my parents, and after graduating from school I switched to biathlon. In 2004 he finished competing in biathlon. After that, I received an offer to try my hand at coaching. I decided to try and started working as a biathlon coach at the Youth Sports School, Ivan Valeryevich said in an interview with Sports.kz. - I have a brother Alexander. He, like me, thanks to our parents, has been involved in cross-country skiing since childhood and then switched to biathlon.”
