Today, Kazakhstan has two Category A biathlon stadiums:

  • Alatau Ski and Biathlon Complex in Almaty, built in 2011;
  • Olympic Training Center for winter sports in Shchuchinsk, built in 2018.

Biathlon is currently developing in seven regions of Kazakhstan: North Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Almaty, Akmola, Karaganda, and the city of Almaty.

About 5,000 people practice biathlon in total.

Around 60 coaches work across Kazakhstan, 38 of them with the highest qualification category.

  2. Olympic Training Center for winter sports, Shchuchinsk — 2,000 people.
  3. Alatau Ski and Biathlon Complex, Talgar — 160 people.
  4. K. Baybolov Regional Specialized Youth Sports School, Petropavlovsk — 300 people.
  5. Republican Specialized Boarding School-College of Olympic Reserve, Ridder — 300 people.
  6. Youth Sports School No. 1 under the Biathlon Federation, Pavlodar — 90 people.
  7. Sandyktau Youth Sports School of Akmola Region, Balkashino village — 230 people.
  8. A. Moldagulova Regional Specialized Boarding School-College of Olympic Reserve, Karaganda — 270 people.
  9. Semey City Youth Sports School — 230 people.
